The Paradox of Personal Identity
If you're going to hold that the animal remains behind and you go over there then you are rejecting an identity between yourself and the animal. That means that we want to ask how you think about your present situation without brain transplants or anything abnormal happening to you. Do you have any way of answering that case because that seems to undermine the idea that we're fundamentally animals if a bit of us can be transplanted?
