The radio altimeter on the captain's side was saying he was on the ground, which is obviously wrong. They would have to rely on the radio altimeter operating on the first officer's side. And of course, there should be back up gauges that use the old style, like i was talking about, that measure air pressure and show your altitude above sea level. O, anyway, all o aside, they intercepted the glide path at an altitude of about one thousand 300 feet. The aircraft flew below 500 feet at a speed of a hundred ten knots.
