The Importance of Multiple Perspectives in Academic Publishing

Feminist theory says that no single person knows everything, and this is true of individuals in the world. The idea that we could put this book online and incorporate the knowledge of other people who were not me and Catherine was really appealing to us. In general, when you send a manuscript out for peer review, it's usually sent to two or three or, you know, sometimes rarely,you know, four people. But what you don't get are people who first of all haven't been asked. And so by putting it online on Pub Pub, we got both those as well.
