i think there's a lot that has changed in the last 40 years. 75 to 80 per cent of people believe next generation will be less well off than current one. We've been running the red queen's race in alson wonderland, where people have had to run faster and faster just to stay in the same place. A technological crisis happens when this tech logical tail wind no longer is powering our civilization,. The implicit expectations of progress abate. And it's very dangerous to take on debt and credit which are powered by these sorts of tails winds.
