Phil, Jonathan and Ben discuss the origins of astrology. Phil: I think it has a role to play in a society where we don't understand ourselves well. The whole thing is much more to do with one of the better word coincidence. It's such a vague system, and there are so many different interpretations that it's very hard to disprove. And for me Astrology is part of a slippery slope of irrationality - because what we're really talking about here is the placebo effect. So if you're told it's a placebo or not at all... You still feel like something had been made sense of by your pysies' work.
