I would say that you have to be a little pragmatic now we've run this column for how many years it isn't that I've always managed to get everything I wanted to say inside so I've been willing to compromise. Young people today are much more judgmental and and you need to have a strong sense of what your values are. There's just too much judgmentalness and too much polarization in our society not just journalism as such but the sense of polarization even at the highest levels of journalism is such, he says.
