When I was doing more mountain bike racing, I love doing the short track races. And that was so opposite of kind of my natural tendency and what I typically did. Once we all started using power meters, and we got a lot smarter and we got fitter because of it. We still have this thing in us as mountain bikers where we want to start races like that too.
