The study shows that incorporating a cardi c t in your acute imaging protocol of stroke patients is technically feasible. It has, in fact, a higher diagnostic yield than transterasic cocartiography. The advantage of prospective gating is that it uses less radiation because you're not scanning the full cardiac cycle. And for instance, you can look at a leantric ejection fraction in retrospective gated.
