The Messianic Origin of Christ
In john, six, people had failed to recognize jesus ultimate origin. He challenges their sense of his origin by speaking about his personal origin. This made what they thought was evidence against the claim that jesus was the christ,. Of course, neither nazareth nor th Bethlehem were the ultimate origin of christ. His ultimate origin, truly was a place they did not and could not know.
