McTearn and doesn't use motion for the sake of getting us into a rhythm generally, but in this movie, it seemed very purposeful. It's almost like he's creatively telling you, all right, here's some context for the second frame or the second composition. So you are ahead of them. And often what happens here is that it's sort of allowing us to see a thing that mattered in the background that the foreground was obscuring. He also uses lateral dawly moves, meaning side to side dawley moves, to catch somebody mid-motion which is Spielberg's favorite thing in the world to do.
