Mental illness and the demand for psychological services are at an all time high, especially among children. Suicide is the second leading cause of death in the United States for kids ages 10 to 19. Approximately one out of every six high school students has considered suicide in the past year. Pediatric suicide rates have increased significantly in the US,. nearly tripling between 2007 and 2017 among children ages 10 to 14.
