Web assembly is designed to run in a highly performance, but also incredibly strictly sandboxed kind of way. It's always been designed around this idea that the curd youre running might be hostile,. and it needs to have the same level of of defences as you would have when you're running jarva script in a browser. The ability to sand box processes, or individual function calls, or collections of functionality when youare within your application are obviously very appealing. You don't necessarily have to put each different piece of your application into a different container because each web assembly module is isolated anyway.
