The author mischaracterizes in a pretty blatant way what a Republican congressman said about the January 6th insurrection. Norm Ornstein, who's kind of like an ancient centrist, you know, Bible thumper in his own way in Washington, came up with a formulation 10 years ago that the problem in American politics is basically the Republicans.
