The Story of Durga Uma

Every deity in Hinduism has what is called a Gayatri, which is used to praise the deity and to connect with that power. In the Kainau Upanishad, she makes her appearance and there the word Uma is used. The Himalayas are known as durga's father. So they get their identity from Uma whether it's Robert Thurman here or the Himalayas in India.
