Spinoza: We need to come to a kind of balance here. And it's not a balance of indifference to anything. It's a balance of a increasing joy as we recognize that we are determined, and because werecognize that we're determined. By questioning, like the questioning itself is another determination. That can sort of release the energies that have been bound up by the first determination and make them available for other determinations that are better.
