The Importance of the Walrus Operator in Go
The walrus operator is more of a branding move than computer science moves. There's now there's two ways to do it, people say, well, should I use code on equals, or should I use var or whatever? And now you have to know about that. The other thing is, anytime you get some really weird, really horrible bug in your Go program, it's probably either due to a channel, right, or a deadlock or it's something to do with the walrus operators.
