Andrew Wakefield's Medical License Is a Bad Thing.
In 2003, a paper published in the archives of pediatrics and adolescent medicine concluded that there was no evidence supporting an association between autism and the MMR vaccine. Multiple other peer reviewed studies in the 15 years since have said the same thing. In February of 2010, the editors of the Lancet retracted Wakefield's study. This prompted a review by the General Medical Council, which in May of 2010 stripped Andrew Wakefield of his medical license.
