i feel as it's a thing about the middle ages in general. As the middle ages wear on, the evidence becomes fuller and the people start to seem a little bit more like us. So inevitably, i think when we look back very, very deep into the early middle ages, we can be am somewhat appalled by the barbarity of the time. I mean, it just is easier, becausethe time brings us closer to those people.
