It's not like there's some, you know, galactic pileup where galaxies that are moving at 99% and the speed oflight are all located. In other words, if you double the distance between yourself and another galaxy, let's say you look at Andromeda, which is 3 million light years away. You could be expanding as the 97th power of the distance between us.
