The BEAM study has already been alluded to when this came from Brian Driver's group, where they looked at the effect of the Bougie versus endotracheal tube and stylate on first attempt intubation success among patients with difficult AOE's undergoing emergency intubation. And there was no statistical significance in the results of this study. So it left us with many unanswered questions for me as a person was intubating patients in the trick in the ICU.
