Is Your Mind Wrong?
In neuroscience there's a difference between intentional mind wandering and just slipping off into daydreaming. If you intentionally let your mind wander, then actually that leads to more creative thinking. I call that strategic messing around. And great things usually tend to happen at the time. Because of the science, I try to never multitask. So if I'm going for a walk, I'm not listening to a podcast at the same time. And I also do doing nothing. Sitting and not turning the TV on is sitting and doing nothing. What does that do for you?
