Is There a Task Ready?
I have seen this tension a lot around having explicit affordances versus hidden things. It's so hard though, when a user is just starting to use a device, they may not be task ready for tha particular thing. So it becomes difficult to decide when and how to do that education. And you have to resist the urge to sa, well, the user didn't get it, so le me just like poke them harder. That's not the right path either. This is an open question. We talk about this all the time.
