Nuclear Power Is Already the Cleanest and Safest Source of Base Load Energy

Nuclear power is already the cleanest and safest source of base load energy by any objective measure. But similar to aviation, although the accidents are extremely few and far between, they always make front page news. Many nuclear advocates will tell you that's reason enough to stop worrying about safety and get behind nuclear energy. They're right that nuclear power is already safer than any other form of power generation. We need smarter, more effective regulation in place of bureaucracy and red tape which is currently standing in the way of both progress and safety.
