She looked happy, tanned, she had done something new with her hair. For a week I slept and felt like a real person, as opposed to say a zombie. Zombies are not bonafide people but they're closer to being people than aliens. Aliens can experience identity fractures or short circuits of the brain. Eventually new bone grows over these fractures, healthy cells wrapping existential ones.
