The Consensus on F1 Teams
F1 teams don't like the idea of adding more teams at this point, says Lawrence. Currently, there's an anti-dilution fee of $200 million, which a new team would have to pay. And it would get split among the existing teams. But from most of the teams, the general consensus seems to be, let's protect what we've got. There is a fear as well that if those checks hadn't been in place and they hadn't been done thoroughly, you might end up with teams coming unprepared for F1.
