Is There a Reluctant Reference?
There may be a company policy that does not allow him or her to provide data. You can ask if they would be open to doing it as an individual, rather than a representativeof his or her company. If you do receive resistance in regard to that area, then i would just probably end the conversation there. I've managed through this, and one of my tactics is to ask them why they're being vague or unresponsive.
