We're baptized into the culture of the merit system, where if you do good enough, good things will happen. We need to be careful that we don't confuse sowing and reaping with karma. But what you can grow into is your understanding of your righteousness. That's a revelation. If you let that balm go off in your spirit, it's going to set you free from striving.
