Suella Braverman's Statement on the Housing of Asylum Seekers
Suella Braverman put out a late and pretty mealy mouth statement over the weekend. She doesn't seem to particularly care about what happened, but could she move her position on the housing of asylum seekers? I don't think there is going to be any change. These are hotels that basically hotels in name only. As it happens to something I've been banging on about on these podcasts for more than a year. The home office has put out a contract to a business that makes millions of pounds. It makes its individual directors millions of pounds to house people in miserable conditions in hotels no one would go to for fun.
