I love the idea that we could get an articulate understanding of the human good and build the technology that will promote that. It sounds like full employment for philosophers, right? So people in my field, that we will be in demand. I guess my hope would be even if we didn't have complete consensus, if we could at least have a little more of a shared understanding of what we might call human virtues. That a human being characterized by compassion or kindness is something desirable.
