The Purpose of Mukhassa
The key point here to me is not what are the mukhassa in terms of categorizations of bimming five, six or more. The key consideration is what do you do with them? So if you say that there is five, do you only allow a deviation in a particular if it violates the five? Can we now say that we're going to override text anywhere we want to? That is the point of contention. And I don't think Ibn Taimya or anybody else would say such a thing other than probably modernmukhassas and people who want to invoke it.
