Is There an Arbitrage Opportunity?
There used to be a much greater differential in interest rates. Now everyone is approaching zero, so things like this are not as appealing. Some people chose to do that arbitrage, or that carr trade, rather than using the currency markets. And if you know what you're doing, that can be really rewarding. But of course, if you don't know whatyou're doing, please don't do this. You can get in serious trouble if you are taking a high leverage on something you really don't understand.
