The Problems With Issuing Assets on Top of Bitcoin

The fear is that someone will make a transaction that has a huge amount of tether moving some direction or the other. This will incentivize miners to include transactions and reshape the chain. If you start issuing all of these, suddenly you start letting people issue bullshitcoins in a Bitcoin accounting system. Is that going to corrupt and create bad incentives and destroy the nice neat incentive structure that Bitcoin is built on? I think this is a bit of an open question.
