A lot of the Stanford MBA graduates tend to find their way into technology, not finance. "I wanted a job that would take me away from Paris," he says. He started out as an investment banker at Lehman Brothers but grew to hate it. Canyon Partners was founded by former Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley execs who are now worth more than $1 billion.
