We've had the hottest year on record across the globe. High heat and humidity simply kills humans from hyperthermia. Big swaths of earth's surface could become uninhabitable for weeks at a time. And so when i wrote, i was writing about a present danger. It was not like 50 years out. It it could have, it could happen now.
