The church is in a bit of trouble, i guess you'd say. You know, it's an enormously powerful institution. Its influence politics for a century. To some extent, jesus wouldn't have put his hand up to lead the liberal party. I suspet it. Someone who believes in the principles that he s did do that. So it's a legitimate question. But as everyone in the country would now know,. It's undergoing a crisis, in large measure because of the findings of the royal commission into child sexual abuse. More than 600 children have been abused by priests since the 19 thirties.
