Are You a Physicalist About Consciousness?
Long: I used to think that physicalism, i ad some strong assumptions about what substrait was required. Since working on this, i have become more sympathetic to illusionism which is a radical view that phenomenal consciousness actually doesn't exist. He says he's now kind of understood a little bit better what people are saying in philosophy and they're talking about this subjective thing called phenomental experience. Yeo: But then i also have a lot of sympathism, a sympathy for just like good old fashioned physicalism,. which is like consciousness is real and it'sSome physicalists mostly think about, like, flesh and blood and orouthing, they also think about computers.
