Are You Affected by the Legacy of Sex Negativity?

Sexual shame comes from hundreds and thousands of years of sex negativity in culture. It's only within the past 50 years that we're starting to change these messages and challenge them. To really claim our own desire and pleasure, we have to do this internal work no matter who we are. We can't think of this just as a woman's issue, because men's sexuality is very much tied up in how we treat sexual pleasure. And i think we're all in it together, and we really need to emphasize that.
