The bill passed because they ofiscated what it actually did. They hid behind race to pretend like this was going to be new benefits for racial minority workers, instead of taking away all basic employment rights including the minimum wage and overtime. I mean, if i had not been studying this, i don't know that i would have gotten it either. It was very confusing. A the ballot measure reada score was set at grade level 18, which means that a person with 18 years of us formal education would be able to read and comprehend the text.
