The History of Industrialization and Urbanization
Since the 1950s, we've seen a huge shift in the American economy. We massively deindustrialized. You got a ton of people moving out to the suburbs. There was even this trend of ex-urbanization, which I just learned is just like moving far away from any urban community and not even the suburbs. And as that happened, we started building out instead of building up. So if we get it right this time, I think that we can see this healthy industrialization and urban growth go hand in hand.
