The Importance of Boredom
I pride in myself on never rehearsing my mixes. And I would live on the edge by not knowing what the next record was going to be until the moment it's actually on the turntable and I'm mixing it in. So I was creating something new every single mix. A great risk was because you have thousands of people in front of you. And this could all go badly, but that was like a natural high. You're controlling a flow of energy in the room. That brings a lot of energy in your body. Like they relate.
