Forgiveness is the point at which you say, i am no o seeking that. It does not erase the offence that will always have happened. I think mercy has a paramount place in justice. The death penalty is this sort of apotheosis of an unmerciful kind of justice. And i think we have a tendency toward that kind of thing.
