Tritium Is a Rare Isotope
Tritium is an unstable isotope. It has a half-liver of 12 years, 12 points something. So it's essentially not available in nature. If you don't breed it inside your fusion reactor, which is the concept that we would be pursuing, and either might not have that full capability because it is an experiment. We would need to have it bred ahead of time or by some other facility. Tritium can be done in fission power plants as a byproduct.
