One out of four UK pensioners live in households with assets over a million pounds. For those citizens born in the late 1980s, early 1990s who are 13 now, they are spending 30% of their disposable income on housing. The amount of money that you are spending every week on just putting a roof over your head is three times more than people two decades prior to you at the same age. Every time house prices go up, the old get rich and the poor get poorer and they get absolutely poor. What else would we do? Absolutely poor.
