The president is calling on congress to suspend the gas tax for three months. This is good politics, bad policy and will only raise prices by 18 point four cents per gallon. The oil companies are going to keep a lot of that money in their pockets even though they're not unisex. It's up two dollars since the war an ukrane started; it appears economists broadly agree this Gas Tax holiday won't solve the problem.
