How to Teach Andrew Loomis
There are offensive racial stereotypes in Andrew Loomis' book. One of my students pointed out this week, I cannot pretend anymore to be that I'm okay with these images. We're not erasing history, we're just choosing what we teach our students. Trying to really revive the good in there, uncontaminated by the bad is going to take a thousand hours of work or more.
