The Idiot Proof Version of Proof of Time

There's a limit to how fast you can build a computer, even with cooling and everything. The trick is to create a mathematical function that is sequential so it cannot be parallelyzed. Because it's cryptographically secure, there's no way for you to paralelyze it. But i thought this was like, a really clever thing, because there is no arro of time in mathematics.
