Analgesic Effects of Gabapentinoids in Surgery

This systematic review was performed to look at the analgesic effect in adverse events of perioperative Gabapentinoids in adult surgical patients. The co-primary outcomes were postoperative acute pain at 6, 12, 24, 48 and 72 hours after surgery measured by any quantitative pain scale. Some secondary outcomes included postoperative pain between weeks four and 12,. incidents of post operative chronic pain defined as pain lasting for three months or more.
