The Importance of Flat Taxes
James Carville: I think we've gone off the rails with federal taxes. He says a flat tax is good in that it prevents this scenario where a majority can benefit off of larger and larger government at the expense of the minority. A flat tax also doesn't penalize people for bettering themselves, he adds. The minute you better yourself and start becoming more productive, they're going to slap huge taxes on you, according to Carville.
