Debt is at an historic high for the United States. It's a relatively high level relative to most other industrialized countries, but we have other advanced nations like Japan who got now to head of us and survived. As much as our debt is high, interest rates are really low. And that suggests there are probably more opportunities for smart investments that yield a positive payoff right now.
