Smilett's Lawyer Says He Will Appeal the Verdict.
Justis milett's defense attorney said thursday he will appeal the former empire actor's conviction for lying to police about being the victim of a racist, anti gay attack. Ooch told reporters smilett was disappointed and that heis 100 % innocent. He said, smilett's team is confident he's going to be cleared of all all accusations, on all charges at a certain point.
